# Terms and Conditions for Checkers Hub

## 1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Checkers Hub ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

## 2. Description of Service

Checkers Hub is a mobile checkers game application that offers:

- Online multiplayer matchmaking (English, International, and Turkish checkers).
- Local pass-and-play games.
- Games against a computer opponent.
- Friend system with challenges and direct messaging.
- Leaderboards and leagues.
- Daily quests and in-app rewards.
- Profile customization with avatars, board themes, and piece themes.

## 3. User Accounts

- You may use the App as a guest (anonymous) or create an account via Firebase Authentication.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You must not share your account with others or use another person's account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

## 4. User Conduct

When using the App, you agree not to:

- Use offensive, abusive, or inappropriate usernames.
- Harass, bully, or threaten other users through in-game chat or emotes.
- Use cheats, hacks, bots, or any unauthorized third-party software.
- Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage. If you discover a bug, please report it.
- Manipulate matchmaking or ELO ratings through intentional losing, match-fixing, or collusion.
- Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity.
- Attempt to disrupt the service or its servers.

## 5. In-App Currency and Purchases

- Checkers Hub features an in-app currency ("gems") earned through gameplay and quests.
- Gems can be used to purchase cosmetic items such as avatars and streak freezes.
- All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
- We reserve the right to modify gem pricing, rewards, and the in-app store at any time.

## 6. Intellectual Property

- All content in the App, including but not limited to graphics, designs, icons, avatars, board themes, piece themes, and code, is owned by Checkers Hub or its licensors.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content in the App without prior written permission.

## 7. Fair Play

- We are committed to providing a fair gaming experience for all players.
- We reserve the right to impose matchmaking cooldowns on players who repeatedly abandon games.
- Accounts found to be using automated play or other unfair methods may be suspended or permanently banned.

## 8. Advertisements

- The App may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob).
- We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

## 9. Availability and Modifications

- We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the App at any time without prior notice.
- Scheduled maintenance may temporarily make the App unavailable.

## 10. Account Deletion

- You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page in the App.
- Account deletion is permanent and will remove all associated data, including profile information, game history, statistics, friends, league memberships, and gem balance.
- This action cannot be undone.

## 11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- Results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable.
- Any defects will be corrected.

## 12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Checkers Hub and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

## 13. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

## 14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect when the terms were last modified.

## 15. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
